I came up with the theme “A day in the life of a design student” and based the content on my thoughts recorded throughout one day. The aim was to use typography alone to create layers of visual hierarchy and expression of the content. I created a horizontal and vertical reading process that allows the reader to follow the time progression and my schedule of events that particular day. The vertical reading provided another layer of information that gave ‘colour’ to the events in my day.
